Ashdraked
| Ashdraked is the term used to describe the loss of a trader's entire invested capital after shorting Bitcoin. The term is named after a Bitcoin trader who went by the pseudonym "Lord Ashdrake". Lord Ashdrake was a well-known Bitcoin trader who was active in the early days of the cryptocurrency. He was one of the first to short Bitcoin, and he did so with great success. However, in early 2014, the Bitcoin price began to rise sharply, and Lord Ashdrake's short position began to lose money. Despite his best efforts, Lord Ashdrake was unable to close his position before the Bitcoin price reached its peak. As a result, he lost his entire invested capital, and the term "Ashdraked" was born. Since then, the term "Ashdraked" has been used to describe any trader who suffers a similar fate. It is a reminder that even the most experienced traders can make mistakes, and that shorting Bitcoin is a risky proposition. |
