Coinbase Transaction

A Coinbase Transaction is the first transaction in a single block within the blockchain. This transaction is special because it is the only transaction in the block that can create new coins. The coinbase transaction is also the only transaction in the block that can have a value greater than or equal to the total value of all the other transactions in the block combined.
