Distributed Denial Of Service (Ddos) Attack

A distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack is a type of cyberattack in which a network is overloaded with requests, making it unavailable to legitimate users. DDoS attacks are often used to target websites or other online services, and can be very disruptive.

DDoS attacks usually involve a large number of computers, known as a botnet, that are used to generate the high volume of requests. The attacker will often use a tool to control the botnet and direct it at the target.

DDoS attacks can be very difficult to defend against, as the attacker can simply keep adding more computers to the botnet. The best defense against a DDoS attack is to have a good network infrastructure in place so that the attack can be detected and mitigated quickly.
