Eclipse Attack
| Eclipse attacks are a type of blockchain attack that muddles the connection between nodes. This can be done by a malicious actor who controls a large amount of computing power. By doing this, they can prevent new transactions from being confirmed and prevent other nodes from being able to reach consensus. This can lead to the blockchain being forked, which can result in double spending and other issues. Eclipse attacks can be very difficult to detect and can be very costly to fix. |
