Hard Fork (Blockchain)

A hard fork is a massive change to a protocol that happens when a blockchain splits into two blockchains. This can happen when there is a disagreement among developers about how the protocol should be updated, or when there is a change in the underlying technology that the protocol is built on. A hard fork can also happen accidentally, if there is a bug in the software that causes the blockchain to split.
