Hash

A hash is the output result of a hashing algorithm, which generates a one-of-a-kind, fixed-length text to encrypt and secure a set of data. Hashes are used to ensure the data's integrity and to verify that the data has not been tampered with. A hash is a mathematical function that takes a input of any size and outputs a fixed-size text. The output of a hash is often referred to as a "hash value", "hash code", "hash digest", or simply "digest".
