| A hosted wallet is a digital account for the storage of cryptocurrency which is managed by third-party financial institutions. Hosted wallets offer a convenient way to store and use cryptocurrency, as they are typically easy to set up and use. However, because hosted wallets are managed by third parties, there is a risk that the wallet provider could be hacked, or that the wallet provider could become insolvent and unable to return funds to users. |
