Max Supply
Max Supply is the closest possible approximation of the maximum number of cryptocurrency coins that will exist throughout the existence of said cryptocurrency. This is an important metric to consider when investing in cryptocurrency, as it can give you an idea of how rare the coins are, and how their value may change over time. For example, if a cryptocurrency has a max supply of 10 million coins and there are currently 5 million in circulation, then the price of each coin is likely to increase as demand grows and more coins are mined. On the other hand, if the max supply is 100 million and there are currently 50 million in circulation, then the price is likely to be more stable. |
