Paul Le Roux
Paul Le Roux is a programmer and former criminal cartel boss who is one of the suspects to be Satoshi Nakamoto. Le Roux was born in South Africa and later moved to the United States, where he became a naturalized citizen. He is a self-taught programmer and his first major project was an online pharmacy called Rx-Promotion, which he created in the early 2000s. Le Roux was also involved in creating an online marketplace for illegal drugs and weapons called Silk Road. In 2011, Le Roux was arrested by the FBI and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison. In 2013, Le Roux was indicted on charges of racketeering, money laundering, and conspiracy to murder. He pleaded guilty to those charges in 2014 and is currently serving a life sentence in prison. |
