Platform
| A platform, in the context of cryptocurrency, is the parent blockchain of tokens or a cryptocurrency exchange. A platform is a type of cryptocurrency that allows the creation and issuance of other cryptocurrencies, called tokens, which are built on top of it. A key feature of a platform is that it allows for the creation of smart contracts. A smart contract is a computer program that can automatically execute the terms of a contract. |
