Proof-Of-Developer (Pod)
Proof-of-Developer (PoD) is a system that helps to identify real, living software developers of a cryptocurrency. This is done by providing a proof, or a set of proofs, that the developer is who they say they are. This can be done through a variety of means, such as providing a digital signature, a social media profile, or even a video introduction. The Proof-of-Developer system is designed to help improve the security of a cryptocurrency by making it more difficult for someone to create a fake or malicious version of the currency. This is because the developer would need to not only create the fake currency, but also have the skills to create a convincing proof that they are the real developer. This is a much higher bar than simply creating a fake currency, and so it is hoped that it will make it much harder for someone to successfully attack a cryptocurrency. The Proof-of-Developer system is not perfect, and it is possible that someone could still create a fake currency even if they have to create a convincing proof of their identity. However, it is hoped that this system will make it much harder for someone to successfully attack a cryptocurrency, and that it will help to improve the security of the currency. |
