Public-Key Cryptography

Public-Key Cryptography is a type of cryptographic procedure that uses a pair of keys, one of which is public and one of which is private, to randomize and encrypt data. The public key can be known by anyone, but the private key must be kept secret. The two keys are mathematically related, and the private key can be used to decrypt data that has been encrypted with the public key.
