Revoke

The definition of revoke is to cancel an agreement, transaction, approval, or any other process. This word is derived from the Latin word revocare, which means "to recall, call back." When something is revoked, it is no longer in effect.

There are many reasons why someone might revoke something. For example, a company might revoke a job offer if the candidate is not qualified. A person might revoke their approval of a project if it is not going the way they wanted. In some cases, a revocation can be undone, but in others it cannot.

If you are considering revoking something, it is important to weigh the pros and cons first. There can be serious consequences to revoking something, so you need to be sure that it is the right decision.
