Selfish Mining

Selfish mining is a mining mechanism where a new fork is created and the generated block is not shared with the rest of the miners. This results in the selfish miner having a higher chance of finding the next block and receiving the block reward. While this may be beneficial for the selfish miner in the short term, it is not beneficial for the network as a whole as it can lead to forks and decreased security.
