Sha-256

SHA-256 is a cryptographic hash function that generates a 256-bit signature for a text. It is a part of the SHA-2 family, the successor to the SHA-1 algorithm, which was widely used until recently. The SHA-256 algorithm is used in many applications, including digital signatures and password hashing.
