Ticker (Symbol)
| The ticker symbol is a unique collection of letters issued to stocks or cryptocurrencies that allows them to be identified on exchanges and other trading platforms. Ticker symbols are usually between one and four letters long, and they are used to identify a particular security on a stock exchange or other trading platform. For example, the ticker symbol for the stock of the company Apple Inc. is AAPL, and the ticker symbol for the cryptocurrency Bitcoin is BTC. |
